shaolin temple
Tours Introduce:Shaolin Temple lies at the foot of Songshan Mountain. It is about 80 kilometres to the Southwest of Zhengzhou City,Henan province.It is the ancestor's house of Chan Sect of Buddhism and Shaolin Wushu.Today the temple includes the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the White Robe Hall, the abbot’s residence, the Lixue Pavilion and the 1,000-Buddha Hall. Outside the temple walls are shrines dedicated to the first and second patriarchs of Chan Buddhism, the Forest of Pagodas and the Bodhidharma Cave. The temple has a fine collection of cultural relics including a painting portraying the 500 arhat disciples of Buddha, pictures illustrating Shaolin martial arts, murals depicting 13 Shaolin monks helping the Prince of Tang repulse his enemy troops and more than 300 stone tablets.
